Salou is well known to the tourist industry and the people of Spain as the 'Ghost Town of Spain'. 38 tourists have gone missing over the past 5 years. The rumour is that a man dubed 'The Spanish Reaper' is behind such disappearings. This has therefore resulted in many tourists staying away, but a few risk themselves as Salou is convenient for those wishing to visit the theme park Port Aventura and the world famous Barcalona. All tourists are told of the risk of staying in Salou but British and Irish tourists are advised to stay away completely as 29 of the 38 disappearings have been from Britain or Ireland.
